Whether you have just moved to a new location or you are just looking for a new look, there are lots of reasons why you might be looking for an Aveda hair salon. The question is: how do you decide which one is right for you?
Get Referrals
Chances are pretty good there is someone in your life that goes to a hair salon. Maybe they get their hair done or maybe they get a manicure. If they are happy with their stylist, they should be happy to share the information with you. Then, you just need to set up an appointment to see if you like the salon yourself.
Check Out Their Website
The website of a salon really says a lot about it. The salon really should have some sort of website or Facebook page. A Facebook page is a great place to look because customers are usually very open and honest about the service they receive on the page.
Check Out the Salon
There is no reason you have to schedule an appointment to have a look at the salon. Just go through the doors and have a look. If anyone says anything, let them know you are shopping for a new hair salon and you wanted to see what the inside of their salon looks and feels like. No one is going to mind.
Look at the Stylists
While you are at the salon, take a few moments to look at their stylist. A lot of salons will have a page on their website with pictures of their stylists and a little about them. Obviously, you do not want someone who looks like they lack style to work on your hair. This is a business where appearance does matter.
Check Out the Prices
Prices shouldn’t be at the top of the list, but they shouldn’t be at the bottom either. Obviously, you want to make sure this is a salon that you can afford. You do not want to spend time falling in love with the salon only to realize their prices are way out of your comfort zone. The unfortunate truth is salons and even individual stylist vary pretty greatly when it comes to prices.
The last and best thing for you to do is to try talking to some of the people who have gone to the salon. What do they have to say about it? The key is to talk to someone you do not know and are not related to. Get an honest opinion.
